KombiPort Kiel GmbH is the firm responsible for all the operations connected with the port’s intermodal facility in the Ostuferhafen.
A shuttle train links the Ostuferhafen and Norwegenkai with Hamburg’s Billwerder Gateway Terminal five times a week. From Hamburg-Billwerder, nearly every destination on the national and international intermodal network can be reached overnight.

The loading and unloading of rail waggons is handled by mobile reach stackers at the triple-track intermodal facility.
Units for handling, like containers, swap bodies and liftable trailers can be loaded swiftly, reliably and on time onto the daily shuttle trains.
KombiPort is a joint venture of the Port of Kiel and the German intermodal cargo transport concern Kombiverkehr.
